Each white+reid hand-trowelled, poured in-situ concrete countertop is bespoke and tailored to each client's individual specifications.
We create concrete countertops of any size or shape that can incorporate any wall profile into the design to suit your kitchen, bathroom or work surface. The advantage we offer by pouring in place is a seamless, join free countertop. The versatility of this method enables the concrete to 'flow' in and around any recesses or wall projections, while the tactile finish creates a more 'organic', warmer result than the machined surface of a pre-cast concrete countertop. They are trowelled to a fine, flat finish, burnished by hand, sealed and then waxed several times to give a smooth, warm, tactile surface.
Using a variety of white and grey cements, different aggregates and pigmentations, white+reid can produce a variety of tones from natural buff and standard grey through pigmented colours to pure white dolomite. To accompany our standard tones, we also offer bespoke colours and tones.
