white+reid kitchens are custom-built to cater for specific and practical client requirements. Our kitchens are unique and not restricted by standard 'off the shelf' carcass sizes and formats. Although we have developed our own aesthetic and style which we describe as 'contemporary' and 'utilitarian', we work very closely with our clients to ensure we achieve the 'look' they want.
Our units are of a strong, box construction made with birch plywood that maximises the strength and durability required for kitchen cabinets and units. We treat the carcasses and shelves with hard wax oil which gives a natural, hardwearing and easy to maintain finish. Solid wood, real wood veneered engineered board or birch ply is used for the doors and drawer fronts. Carcasses, doors and drawer fronts can also be treated with acrylic laminate or a paint finish depending on client needs and aesthetic requirements. We also create under-unit drawers to make maximum use of the dead space usually concealed by kickboards.
We only use high specification hinges, handles, drawer runners and other fixtures and accessories which, together with the materials we employ, aesthetic we attain and robust nature of the design, ensures a look and finish of the highest quality.
